DAYCARE is OPEN!:  WOOFS! Daycare is accepting new dogs under the age of 6 months. Come on in for a daycare evaluation!  

Pug with leashWOOFS! is a full-service training, boarding, and daycare facility with two locations in Arlington, VA. We offer dog daycare, overnight & vacation dog boarding, a range of classes including puppy kindergarten, basic to advanced obedience, Rally-O, and Agility, as well as puppy socialization, private dog and puppy training lessons, aggression consultations, and board & train.

  • Agility Schedule Posted

    As before, all classes (EXCEPT Agility I and Flyball) will be handled by random draw lottery.

    The schedule for the draw:

    Draw opens to current students:  June 24 
    Draw closes: June 30 
    Draw notification date: July 8 
    Open registration for all students: July 8 
    Payment due date: July 19

    IMPORTANT!: The agility draw entry form will be available on our website on June 24th at 12:00 am. All entries MUST come through our web page.

  • Ballston Update

  • Desiree Lomer-Clarke and Melissa Bishop Certified by CCPDT

    ccpdt-logoWe are pleased to announce that trainers Desiree Lomer-Clarke and Melissa Bishop have been awarded CPDT-KA certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.

    CPDT-KA stands for Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed. Applicants must complete 300 hours of client training before trainers are eligible for an extensive semiannual test. Certificants must demonstrate ongoing education and professional development to maintain credentials. CCPDT offers the only international, standardized certification for professional dog trainers that is both science-based and independent of any course of study.

    With this accomplishment by Desiree and Melissa, WOOFS! Dog Training Center now boasts eight trainers that have been credentialed by the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers.  Congratulations Desiree and Melissa, and thanks for your continued dedication!

  • Rebekah and Desiree To Speak At Breakfast With Bullies

    AWLA Pit CrewWOOFS! trainers Desiree Lomer-Clarke and Rebekah Klemm, CPDT-KA, are the featured speakers for the March Breakfast with Bullies hosted by the Animal Welfare League of Arlington Pit Crew.  Their topic is the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) exam, including how to prep for the test and what you and your dog can do once your dog has earned recognition as a Canine Good Citizen.  This is a FREE event, and breakfast will be provided.  Humans only, please!
