Day Care/Boarding Policies
PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING A WOOFS! DAYCARE/BOARDING AGREEMENT
AGE: Dogs must be at least 10 weeks old.
GENDER: All dogs over the age of 6 months MUST be spayed or neutered.
VACCINATIONS: Owners are required to provide proof of current vaccinations. Puppies must have their first two rounds of Distemper and Parvo. Adults should have DHPP and Rabies. Bordatella is recommended.
COLLARS: All dogs are required to wear a quick snap collar (no buckle collars allowed). All other clothing (bandanas, harnesses, coats) need to be removed before dropping your dog off at daycare. WOOFS! is not responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to your dog’s collar or other belongings.
HEALTH: All dogs must be in good health and must not have been ill with a communicable condition within the last 14 days. Do not bring your dog to daycare if they are vomiting or have diarrhea. All dogs must be on a flea prevention program. We reserve the right to trim your dogs NAILS at a charge of $10 if they are too long.
LUNCHES: Only puppies under 4 months of age are eligible for lunches during daycare. We do not feed lunch to dogs over 4 months of age because it makes them more susceptible to bloat, which can be fatal.
BEHAVIOR: All dogs must be non-aggressive and not food or toy possessive. WOOFS! reserves the right to
reward good behavior with TREATS/REWARDS and to modify undesirable behavior by using a “time out”. A “time out” is supervised confinement on a tether or in a confined space. WOOFS! reserves the right to dismiss any dog from daycare if they injure another dog or person or become too difficult to manage in the daycare environment. PLAY and REST: Dogs play all day in a cageless environment and we do not enforce “nap time.” WOOFS! reserves the right to crate or confine any dog for short periods of time for feeding, resting or time–outs.
WATER BREAKS: To maintain safety and cleanliness, and as a precaution against bloat, water is offered several times a day but is not freely available. It is likely that your dog will be thirsty upon arriving home.
RISKS: Owner acknowledges that there are risks inherent in keeping dogs in daycare settings, including risks to the health and wellbeing of the Dog(s) as well as risks that the dog(s) may harm people, dogs or other property. Woofs! is not responsible for any injuries or illness your dog may obtain in daycare.
EMERGENCY: In case of emergency your dog will be transported to Caring Hands Animal Hospital located at 2955C South Glebe Road, Arlington, VA 22206 www.caringhandsvet.com.
FEES: Half day rate (up to 6 hours) = $25 per day. Single full day rate = $36 per day. Discounted multiple day passes are available. 5 day pass = $175 ($35 per day) 10 day pass = $340 ($34 per day) 15 day pass = $495 ($33 per day) 20 day pass = $640 ($32 per day) 30 day pass= $900 ($30 per day). All daycare passes expire 6 months after date of purchase. Passes are non-refundable & non-transferrable.
PAYMENT: Daycare payment is due on the day services are rendered. WOOFS! accepts personal checks, MC, VISA, DIS, AMEX.
LATE PICKUPS: A late fee of $22 applies to any daycare dog picked up after 7 pm. Dogs who are not picked up from our Ballston location by 7:00pm will be shuttled to Shirlington promptly at 7:05pm.
BOARDING HOURS: Boarding is offered exclusively at our Shirlington location. Dogs can be dropped off or picked up between 7am & 9pm, Mon.-Fri. and between 9am & 9pm on Weekends and Holidays. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE.
BOARDING FEES per day and night:
Daycare & Crate at night: $50
Daycare & Shared Suite at night: $58
15 minute walk: $15
Bath (Depends on size and hair length): $30 - $65

DAYCARE WHEN BOARDING: All boarding dogs must first pass a daycare evaluation and attend at least one day of daycare prior to their first boarding stay.
FOOD AND MEDICATIONS: All food and medications must be labeled with your dogs first and last names. Please bring your dogs food in disposable containers labeled with amount and number of feedings per day. Individually packaged meals in baggies are preferred.
BELONGINGS: Dogs spending the night are not permitted to bring anything other than food and medications. WOOFS! provides clean bedding, bowls, toys etc. for all dogs. WOOFS! is not responsible for lost/damaged/ missing items and can not guarantee that your dog’s belongings will be returned to you in the same condition they were received.
HEALTH: All dogs should be in good health before arriving for boarding. Please be aware that boarding a dog for even a short period of time can be stressful. Stress can be reduced by regular visits to maintain familiarity and comfort in the boarding environment. Stress and being in close quarters with other dogs increases the risk of disease transmission and it is not uncommon for boarding dogs to contract minor illness consisting of upper respiratory infection (Kennel cough), gastrointestinal disorder such as vomiting or diarrhea, foot pad soreness, loss of appetite and weight loss. WOOFS! cannot guarantee that your dog will not become ill while in our care.
EMERGENCY: In the event of serious illness or injury we reserve the right to provide immediate vet care for
your pet at Caring Hands Animal Hospital located at 2955C South Glebe Road, Arlington, VA 22206
www.caringhandsvet.com. WOOFS! is not responsible for any vet bills accrued in the event of illness.
HOLIDAY CHARGES: An extra charge of $10 per day applies the day before, of and after the following
holidays (maximum cumulative extra charge $30): New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day,
Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas.
PAYMENT: Credit card information is required to make a reservation and the credit card on file will be
automatically charged on the day of your dog’s departure. Daycare passes cannot be used to pay for boarding.
Dog’s who check in before 4pm will be charged for a full day. Dog’s who check in after 4pm will only be
charged the overnight fee ($22). Dog’s who stay a minimum of two nights will get their last day of daycare
free. WOOFS! accepts MC, VISA, DIS, AMEX.
